Lead For Ghana adopts a strategic, long-term perspective, recognizing that providing every child in Ghana with equitable access to a high-quality education holds the potential to foster robust communities and drive inclusive economic growth.

Overview

Lead For Ghana (LFG) is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of ethical and effective leaders who can drive meaningful social change in Ghana. Our primary focus revolves around tackling educational inequity and addressing leadership gaps within the country. We accomplish this mission by identifying, training, and placing talented recent university graduates and young professionals in underserved schools nationwide.

At the core of our organization is the Leadership Development Fellowship, a comprehensive program designed to select and train exceptional individuals from diverse academic backgrounds. Through this fellowship, we equip participants, referred to as fellows, with the necessary skills, knowledge, and mindset to become transformative leaders within the education sector.

Our fellows make a commitment to serve as full-time teachers in under-resourced schools across Ghana for a duration of two years. They collaborate closely with school administrators, teachers, students, and community members to enhance educational outcomes, introduce innovative teaching methodologies, and foster a positive and conducive learning environment.

Throughout their placement, our fellows benefit from continuous support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities offered by Lead For Ghana. Additionally, they join a thriving network of like-minded individuals who share a passion for education and social impact. Together, this community of change-makers is dedicated to driving systemic improvements in education throughout Ghana.

Lead For Ghana's ultimate goal is to empower our fellows to become leaders not only within the education sector but also in broader spheres. We firmly believe that by placing talented and dedicated individuals in underserved schools, we can effect significant change in educational equity and contribute to the overall development of Ghana.

In summary, Lead For Ghana recruits and trains young leaders, known as fellows, and places them in underserved schools across Ghana to combat educational inequity and enhance learning outcomes. Through our efforts, we strive to build a robust leadership pipeline and foster sustainable transformation within the education sector.
